GRATE Little GUIDES introduced the Walks About The Peak District series in response to an increasing demand for attractive, easy-going walks which explore varied and beautiful countryside around many favourite locations. We incorporate into the guides our experience of countryside management and knowledge of the Peak District National Park, so that you can walk confidently and safely.

We design circular walks from accessible starting points, and each guide includes a mix of short and medium length routes. Some of the walks can be combined to form longer itineraries. Our guides also include regional and local road maps to help you find the start points more easily.

The easy-to-follow walk descriptions and accurate large-scale maps are displayed alongside each other so you do not need to keep turning pages. Choose your walk, fold the guide to

the required page and place it in the see-through weatherproof wallet to follow the route.

We regularly check and revise the descriptions and maps so that you can be confident you are following the most up-to-date route.

Our guides are printed locally by J W Northend Ltd on paper derived from well-managed forests and other controlled sources, approved by the Forestry Stewardship Council.

GRATE Little GUIDES have always been popular, with over half-a-million sold since 1988. Our aim continues to be the publication of quality walking guides at an affordable price — a pint of beer in a Peak District pub has long been our benchmark. You can buy them from outlets throughout the Peak District and surrounding area.
